In my cart: Amazon holiday outfits

Amazon has been my go-to for a while now when I am looking for cute, trendy, inexpensive pieces!

Most of my wardrobe for tips comes from Amazon and the most worn pieces from my everyday wardrobe are also from there.

I’ve searched for a few key pieces that I think would be perfect for holiday parties and events. They are all under $40 and can be mixed and matched with things you already own to make great outfits now and throughout the year.

ONE

A true splurge gift, but so worth it! This stunning bag will be theirs for years to come. It is a fashion staple that will never go out of style.

TWO

This Hourglass palette is the ultimate beauty indulgence. I love these highlighters and the subtle shimmer they give off.

THREE

Leather leggings are a quick (and comfy) way to add a little edge to any outfit.

FOUR

I am totally obsessed with these over-the-knee boots. They are a classic style that will be a fall/winter staple. Plus, they are only $108!

FIVE

Super cool sunnies that are under $40? Yes, please! These all-season shades are perfect for anyone that loves a vintage look.

SIX

Faux fur vests have taken up a considerable amount of real estate in my closet and I can’t say I hate it. They are an easy way to pull together an outfit- even something as simple as a long sleeve tee and jeans. This style is reversible so it is like giving (or getting!) two gifts in one.

SEVEN

I can’t think of a more luxurious gift than these Christian Louboutin polishes. Sure, they are totally frivolous but so delicious, who could resist?

EIGHT

Kendra Scott is one of my favorite brands to gift. It is hard to not love this delicate abalone pendant. It is perfect to wear everyday or layered with longer necklaces.

NINE

Rose? Yes way! Just a fun iPhone case for the woman that has it all.

A handful of my favorite things right now…

Some for my closet and a few for gifting!

ONE

Fuzzy socks are key this time of year! I always like to keep a few pairs

on hand for easy stocking stuffers that are always put to good use!

TWO

An expensive looking bag with a not so expensive price tag.

This Sole Society find is under $65 and comes in two versatile colors.

THREE

Holiday time means great beauty gift sets and MAC does not disappoint this year.

I love this boxed lipgloss wardrobe. A great gift for your favorite makeup junkie!

FOUR

Full disclosure– I am OBSESSED with these booties! I am partial to the black and the grey,

but every color is fabulous. They are cool, edgy and will complete all your holiday outfits.

FIVE

By now we all know my love for plaid blanket scarfs. I love this color combo plus

they make a great “one size fits all” for any person on your list.

SIX

Buy these now and thank me later! A thick fleece-lined legging with a silky finish will take you

from the office to date night and all your holiday gatherings. No judgement

here if you decide they are your “Thanksgiving pants” — they have super stretch!

SEVEN

How holiday is this sweater? Mushy, cozy, and warm this knit will carry you well

into the colder winter months. I want one in ever color!

EIGHT

Pair this cape with the Marc Fisher booties from above,

those fleece leggings and a silky black top… instant outfit!

NINE

These are sneakers. And they are merlot. And leather. There is nothing more to say!

Go get ’em! And maybe a pair for your most stylish BFF!

Which is your favorite?! What are you buying this month?! Let me know!

Coat Check… Under $150!

It’s just about 70 degrees in New York today.

Yes, it’s November 3rd.

No, this is not normal.

But soon enough we will be wishing it was this 70 degrees again. Winters in New York have been pretty brutal these past few years– super cold and extra snowy! During these months fashion sometimes takes a back seat because you just don’t care what you look like; you just want to stay warm! Here are my picks for great winter coats that are not only styling but figure flattering AND under $150!

Land’s End Wool Coat, $79.97

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 1.59.11 PM

There is nothing more ladylike than a well-structured wool coat in a bright color. This one is warm, classy and will never go out of style. Plus, it’s on sale!

BB Dakota Ombre Coat, $105.00

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.01.31 PM

How FUN is this coat? You could just wrap yourself up in this on a cold winter’s day and still look chic AND stay warm.

a.n.a. Side Tab Puffer Coat, $131.99

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.03.49 PM

The side tab details on this puffer jacket ensure that you don’t add bulk to your frame. It will fit and flatter all different shapes and sizes.

Ivanka Trump, $99.99

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.05.55 PM

Sometimes in the middle of winter you just NEED to wear a down coat even though it might not look the most fashionable option in your closet. This style is great when you want to look put together while still staying warm. The length is also just right– not too long but enough coverage on the behind. The clasp details at the chest elevate the look.

Lorian Faux Leather Coat, $139.99

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.08.40 PM

I love the look of leather sleeves on a wool coat. It takes a classic style and adds just enough edge. This version is affordable and has a great silhouette that is figure flattering.

Susan Graver Puffer Coat, $77

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.11.20 PM

I purchased this coat for myself a few days ago. Although it is a puffer it is super thin and designed so that there is no added bulk on the chest area. Your figure stays proportionate because of the faux wool panel design. It is also made with a windguard so that you can keep warm even on the coldest of days.

Longline Wool-Blend Coat, $57.90

Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 2.14.44 PM

A great option for those of you that live in milder temps. This swing coat gives that relaxed feel– almost like an oversized wool blazer. Great to wear over your oversized sweaters and tops because there is so much extra room.

Save it for a rainy day…

The East Coast is about to experience some major rainfall in the next few days thanks to a tropical storm making his way up the Atlantic. Although this summer was particularly dry and we could certainly use some rain, I am not looking forward to the next seven day (yes– it is projected to rain for seven days here in New York).

This kind of weather would make anyone want to curl up on the couch or under the covers and watch a mega marathon of chick flicks. Unfortunately most of us can’t spend our work week in PJs, but we can stay cozy and stylish even when the weather isn’t cooperating.

I am a huge fan of leggings (aren’t we all?) paired with soft knits when I am looking for ultimate comfort. This poncho is awesome on so many levels, but the rich burgundy color and the price are what sold me on it. Add in these super stylish rain boots (finally, a welly that won’t make us walk like Frankenstein) and you’ll be ready to take on all the elements.

I’m not so secretly obsessing over this M.Z. Wallace bag. I was introduced to it by my friend Jennie and ever since I have been dreaming of adding it to my closet. Quilted nylon bags are having a moment right now. I am seeing them everywhere!

Hands Free

When it comes to handbags my motto has always been “the bigger the better.”

But here is my gripe with big bags… they are literally bottomless.

Sure, a huge purse allows me to carry a lot more, which is great for when I am working. But for the days when I don’t need my planner, makeup bag and laptop I am happy to lighten my load with a crossbody bag.

The LAST thing I want to be doing is digging through my bag to find my keys, especially during the winter months when it is freezing outside. I am usually that girl standing in front of my door, fishing around my bag for what seems like an eternity before I can find my keys. This also usually happens whenever it is raining, snowing or windy with gusts of up to 50 MPH. Without fail.

That is why I love “hands free” bags. They are not just for traveling and can totally be a part of your everyday style. Here are a few of my picks, which by the way, have all passed my requirements for an acceptable CBB (wide opening, zipper or secure closure, adjustable/comfortable strap and big enough to fit my iPhone 6).

You had me at “merlot.”

With each passing season comes another hot, of-the-moment color that we all can’t get enough of. This summer it was bright teals and pinks and spring was filled with lots of yellow.

Fall brings a gorgeous array of hues that not only show up on the runways but also in nature’s beautiful cascade of foliage. I love the bold, rich jewel tone colors that we are seeing in stores now. Emeralds, royal blues, burnt oranges and browns are all great picks for this time of year and will flatter most completions. But my absolute favorite shade for fall is merlot. It is timeless and there are so many variations (burgundy, maroon, marsala, wine, dark red) to keep your wardrobe growing all season long.

Here are my favorite wine-hued picks in stores right now!

ONE [h&m blazer], TWO [charlotte russe loafers], THREE [kendra scott earrings], FOUR [michael hors bag], FIVE [heroine lipstick]. SIX [madden girl booties], SEVEN [j.crew vest], EIGHT [madewell sweater]

#StellaDotStyle

Each time Stella & Dot introduces a new line of jewelry I basically drool and obsesses over my iPhone as I scroll through Insta looking at ways to style the new collection. Their Fall 2015 line is no exception. Here are my favorite stand-out pieces that I will be adding to my jewelry box this season. You can shop the entire site by clicking here or scroll down to directly shop my picks.

Make a major statement with the stunning Natalie Necklace. I love cobalt blue, especially for fall. Mix it with black for an unexpected, luxe look. This is a piece that will dress up all of your basics– everything from a LBD to a white tee.

Screen Shot 2015-09-18 at 10.46.02 AM

There is no cooler look than a set of stacked rings. I have tons of sets but I sometimes shy away from wearing them. Not because I don’t LOVE the look– I just can’t stand the thickness of 4-5 bands stacked up on my (usually) swollen fingers. That is why I am OBSESSED with the Maylee Ring. It gives you the look of stacked bands but without all the bulk.

Screen Shot 2015-09-18 at 10.46.18 AM

I am a big believer in simple, delicate pieces. When you are in a rush to get ready you can easily mix and match no-fuss jewelry for an eclectic look. I also love layering, and I think the Bianca Lariat makes it so easy to tackle that trend. I am planning on picking this necklace up and wearing it with my monogrammed disc.

Screen Shot 2015-09-18 at 10.48.10 AM

This Waverly Bag is everything! I love the contrast of the tan suede against the black leather. Plus, you can easily convert it to a larger cross body bag if you need a little extra space. Super chic and great for all seasons.

Screen Shot 2015-09-18 at 10.47.25 AM

Another great layering piece! I love how rocker-chic the Legend Pendant is. I can see myself also layering this with the Bianca Lariat from above.

One thing that I love about Stella & Dot is that they donate to women’s cancer research annually. You can give back by purchasing this bracelet, which benefits the Noreen Fraser Foundation. From the S&D website: “From September 10th, 2015 until October 31st, 2015, Stella & Dot will donate 20% of the purchase price of eligible customer purchases of the Resilience Cuff, which constitutes our determination of all net proceeds for this item, to the Noreen Fraser Foundation.”
